Roof Rats

As colder weather approaches so do the roof rats. Where does the Roof Rat get its name from? Quite simple... Roof Rats can generally be found gaining access to your home from the roof! Generally these rodents can either crawl up stucco walls to your roof or they can gain access from the tree limbs hanging over the roof of your home. Once these roof rats have gained access to the roof its only a matter of time before they begin gnawing and chewing their way into your attic. Attics are usually the perfect place for a roof rat to build a home. they are protected from the elements (wind, rain, sun) and from predators. Attic insulation also provides a great opportunity to nest and birth baby rats! Baby roof rats are safely protected in the attic while the adult roof rats can search for food and water throughout the home or in trashcans or fruit trees outside.

Here at Gopher Patrol we have been servicing attics for rodent control for over 16 years. Other guys claim they are the only attic experts but thats not true! We have been the longest standing rodent cleanout experts for years and have perfected the art of attic cleanouts. We specialize in sanitization, insulation removal and attic insulation installation. We take care of everything from disposal of the soiled insulation to purchasing and installing the new insulattion. Not only are we experts at attic cleanouts, but we also are experts at attic exclusion and rodent proofing. Most companies only set traps but our guys get to the source of your attic problem and put an end to unwanted guests. We start the process by doing a complete inspection of your home inside and outside the home. We check attics, crawl spaces, basements, and all areas where rodents may be entering your home. After our thourough inspection we will begin the process by sealing up all the openings your technician found during the inspection. Once we have all the openings sealed and the trapping program has been completed only then will we begin on the dirty job of the attic cleanout and removal of soiled insulation. Ant Control

As warmer weather arrives it brings out the bugs. Ants and other pests are mostly in search of water, not food. Sometimes that may not seem to be the case because they are mainly found in the kitchen, but most times you'll notice that they are also found in bathroom. Now if they happen to come by a good food supply in search of water they wont turn it down. 

The best way to effectively keep ants away from the home is to start up monthly exterior pest control to create a barrier around your home to keep ants out. By signing up with our monthly pest control we can stop them before they enter the home and save you time from having to fight these pests in your own home. Monthly pest control has proven to reduce the amount of bugs in the home. Once on monthly exterior service after 3 months the interior of your home is covered if they do manage to make it into the house.

If ants have already established themselves in your home it can sometimes be a battle to get them removed. Sometimes it may require multiple visits to fully eliminate pests. Ants can quickly establish a hive in you walls and sometimes one treatment wont be enough. Fortunately for you all our interior pest treatments come with a 30 day warranty for that reason. Unfortunately we cannot warranty the service if your home is attached to another home, due to the fact that the ants may be coming from the other areas that are not accessible to the technician. Our interior service consists of treating a 3 foot ban around the outside of the home and a full baseboard treatment in all accessible areas. We also treat underneath all bathroom and kitchen sinks and in the kitchen cabinets below counter top level. Even if you only see ants in one part of the home we strongly recommend that all rooms in the home be treated. The reason for this is because treating only one part of the house leaves the rest of the home safe for ants to move to and usually leads to chasing them around the home as they move from room to room trying to escape the treatment. If this is not an option for you we can treat wherever you ask us to but unfortunately we would not be able to offer a 30 day warranty on the service.
